Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. While physical abuse might be the most visible sign, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect, also leave deep, long lasting scars.

Consequences of child abuse might be the following ones: emotional, behavioral and educational problems (e.g. low self-confidence, aggressiveness, disrupted relationship between a victim and abuser who is often a parent of the child), increased risk of delinquency etc.
